Modern science and opera are the backdrop for a confused and broken family searching for clarity and repair. Moral and ethical issues collide when Suzanne Gold-Stein finds she is pregnant and the newest genetic research reveals the likelihood that the child will be gay. Her gay brother wants her to have the child, forcing the family to face the ethically tricky position of deciding whether to abort or face the challenge of raising a child that does not meet their expectations.
