Burnt Fields: A Special Thank You

< back

The road to Burnt Fields has been long, with many challenges along the way; yet a road filled with wonder and awe and a journey well worth the effort. We would not be able to present the play in it’s current form or truly see Burnt Fields come to life without the tremendous amount of support that we have received from volunteers, local business owners and others in the community.

We would truly like to acknowledge and give our deepest thanks to:

Jackie Schultz for taking on the role of Miss Shelby, getting props, assisting with costuming and making sure that all of the characters are appropriately dressed, helping with music, helping with set building, cleaning the theatre (over and over again), her friendship and all of her support and input on this production.

Mark Hoffman for taking the role of Captain Tyler, stepping in as musical director, creating written sheet music for some of Jimmy’s songs, and the wonderful added element of live music he has brought to Burnt Fields.

Suzanne Gonzalez (and her sewing crew) for assisting with costuming and sewing dresses so that the women of Burnt Fields could look there best.

Michael Rumsey and Curtis Brown for taking the cheap wigs and making them and the women of Burnt Fields look beautiful.

Mika Dewid-Douglas for the enormous amount of support and assistance in getting the set built (many hours and assistance of her employees as well), donating materials to make the church and graveyard fencing, putting together the program and helping to design the poster.

Kiny McCarrick kinymccarrickphoto.ifp3.com for the wonderful cast photographs used for the poster and publicity shots and the awesome photographs displayed in the lobby.

Video Lab www.videolabmultimedia.com for helping to convert the last known copy of Jimmy singing his original music (which were on an old cassette tape that had been played for many years) into a CD with the best possible sound and providing copies for the cast to learn his songs.

Paul Costa, owner of Tuff Grass, www.tuffgrass.com for donating the wonderful lawn without which the set would not have been complete.

Susan & Clint Strain owners of Mt. Shasta Naturals www.mtshastanaturals.com for making Arrabella’s crystal ball "magical".
